The Colonial on Arundel Bed & Breakfast is set in the picturesque, malaria free Sundays River Valley bordering the Addo National Elephant Park and a short 45 minutes drive from the Port Elizabeth airport. The Colonial is located a short 15 minutes from the Addo Elephant National Park, and close to the many other private game reserves which offer day visitors a Big Five wildlife experience right on our doorstep. The Addo Elephant National Park was established in 1931 to save 11 Elephants on the brink of extinction and is home to Elephant, Lion, Cape Buffalo, Black Rhino, the rare Flightless Dung Beetle and a range of Antelope species. Experience the spectacular natural beauty on offer in Addo Elephant Park first hand with one of our in-house guided game drives and tours.

The Addo Elephant Park, Addo Reptile and Raptor Centre, Addo Elephant Back Safaris, Schotia Safaris and other Addo attractions will provide guests with hours of pleasure.

The Colonial Bed and Breakfast offers private 4 Star luxury near the Addo Elephant National Park, featuring suites which are stylish and very well equipped, allowing you to enjoy your stay in great comfort. Elegantly appointed, with the emphasis on your comfort and relaxation, both the suites offer separate independent lounges. There is the added pleasure of wonderful coffee table books and magazines, complimentary tea/coffee station and a courtesy mini bar fridge.

The Colonial suites are heated for the chilly Addo winter nights and the bedrooms have both overhead fan and air-conditioning for the warmer Addo days. A valuables safe and hairdryer complete the well thought out facilities.

The Wallow offers guests a real treat where they can experience a hot outdoor bath, under the bright Addo stars, in a private and secluded area of the landscaped garden. Each private suite has a swimming pool.

Directions

Take the offramp 761 from the N2 to Grahamstown. Proceed towards the Addo Elephant Park on the R 335 through Addo & then take the R 336 to Kirkwood. 3 kms from this turnoff, take the Rietfontein Road to the left just past the polo club. The Colonial on Arundel is 1 km down this road on the RHS.
