Lekkerwater is the perfect beach house. Lying in total seclusion above the beach at Lekkerwater, it is one of the best places to be during whale season.
It sleeps 10 people in five rooms and is graciously appointed. There is a double bed in the main bedroom, while the other two rooms each have two single beds. The flatlet outside has two rooms which sleeps 4 people.
Gas, battery-operated lanterns and diesel-generated power for lighting only. Candles supplied for emergencies. Firewood is also supplied. The lodge telephone works with a Telkom WorldCall card, available from post offices or Potberg. Cellphones cannot be relied upon out here.

Fully-equipped cottages
These three fully-equipped cottages look out over the De Hoop vlei. They each sleep seven people, in two rooms. Bedding and towels are supplied. One room has a double bed and another has 3 single beds. There is also a sleeper couch in the livingroom.
They have a bathroom (shower only) and a kitchen, with a four-plate stove and oven, microwave, kettle, fridge, crockery and cutlery.

Rondawels and Basic Cottages
Basic Cottages
De Hoop has 7 selfcatering basic cottages. One sleeps ten, and the rest sleep four in two rooms, with a bathroom (shower only) and a kitchen, a two-plate stove, microwave, kettle, fridge, crockery and cutlery.
Rondawels
Sleep 8 in a back-packers' style. Two rondawels that sleeps 4 each. The kitchen and bathrooms are three separate rondawels. All within 10m. The cost is R100/person/night. You might have to share with strangers. Gas supplied for hot water and lights.

Ou Huis
The restored Ou Huis has plenty of atmosphere. Up to ten people can spend a very enjoyable time at the house, which lies near the reserve office complex.
It consists of two bedrooms and a flatlet, sleeping five, three and two people respectively. The spacious and fully equipped farmhouse kitchen is just the right place to spend a winter's evening, playing cards in front of a fire. The house further consists out of two bathrooms, a diningroom and sittingroom.

Please note
The nearest shop is Ouplaas, 10km outside the reserve gate. All cottages have braai areas. The sea at Koppie Alleen is excellent for swimming and snorkelling.
