Set on a working wine estate in the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands, lies a unique cult wine producer called Alluvia Specialist Winery. Alluvia’s award winning wine estate and its luxury accommodation provides a match made in heaven........which we simply describe as “the vineyard lifestyle.....” Alluvia encapsulates the complete spirit of wine, our land blessed with tiny fertile alluvial deposits of Table Mountain Sandstone and Granite which gives us a perfect platform to produce world class wines of integrity. At Alluvia we constantly challenge the boundaries of traditional wine making styles; an approach that earned us top honours at the Decanter World wine awards for Alluvia’s “ilka” Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as The International Wine & Spirits awards and numerous other accolades. Even before its maiden release, our lisa Cabernet Franc was nominated by Wine Magazine as the top Cabernet Franc in South Africa. Our Winelands Accommodation offers individually appointed ultra premium suites and two beautiful self catering houses, each providing a private location with uninterrupted views of the Banhoek Valley below.

Alluvia is arguably the most photographed wine farm in the South African Winelands. Suites are proudly named after particular soil types found on Alluvia’s wine farm. Interiors were created utilising the physical colours of each soil type thus creating a luxurious motif at one with nature. All suites offer a fully stocked mini bar, DVD player, satellite television, wireless internet connection, hair dryer, and amenities (and of course some of the world’s finest wines!). Clovelly - Honeymoon Suite
This romantic suite offers the ideal getaway for your special occasion with all the luxuries one could desire. A magnificent four poster king size bed with private lounge and fire place, a spa bath with double shower and private patio overlooking our fly-fishing dam, vineyards, swimming pool and the awe inspiring Simonsberg mountain range.
Extravagant bath robes, slippers, bath towels (and of course wine, including our award winning “ilka” Cabernet Sauvignon) are available to relax you completely. Complimentary sherry’s and snacks to enjoy on arrival.
Hutton - Superior Suite
One of our most tranquil rooms, this spacious suite offers two three quarter beds or king size bed with lounge and fire place, en-suite bathroom and a private patio overlooking the fishing dam and vineyards.
Luxurious bath robes, slippers, bath towels and our selection of wines (including our ilka Sauvignon Blanc and Single Vineyard Lisa Cabernet Franc) are available to relax and pamper. With complimentary sherry and snacks to enjoy on arrival, we are at your service to make your stay all the more special.
Oakleaf 1
Oakleaf 1 is perfect for our corporate or individual travellers who want peace and quiet after a long day at the office or hiking in the valley. This suite offers an inviting double bed with en-suite bathroom and a private patio to watch the sun set over the vineyards and revisit your trek through the Simonsberg Mountains.
Luxury towelled bath robes, slippers, and bath towels await the traveller along with our selection of wines (may we recommend our “Give me a Chance” Charities own Cabernet Sauvignon or Sauvignon Blanc) to finish off a perfect day. With complimentary sherry’s and snacks to enjoy on arrival.
Oakleaf 2
With an oh so perfect view, this suite will hypnotise guests that stay here. It offers a double bed with en-suite bathroom and private patio.
Luxurious towelled bath robes (we guarantee you won’t want to them take off), slippers, and bath towels for our esteemed guests with our selection of fine wines including Alluvia’s 2009 “sandie Straw Wine” to tantalise the palette.
On arrival, you will have complimentary sherry and snacks awaiting you to enjoy on the patio, and special treats on turndown.
Oakleaf 3
With a private balcony overlooking our swimming pool, Oakleaf 3 suite offers two three quarter beds with en-suite bathroom. It’s cosy atmosphere provides a tranquil environment for our guests. Whether watching the morning mist rise off our vineyards, or the sunset over the Banhoek Valley, Oakleaf 3 provides luxury and relaxation second to none.
Our towelled bathrobes, and slippers are there for your convenience coupled with sherry and snacks on arrival. Lest we forget to recommend a bottle of our finest lisa Carbernet Franc 2007 to end a perfect day in the winelands.
Avalon - Luxury Family Self Catering House
With its own private garden, this elegant four sleeper Self-Catering house provides our guests with space and comfort. It consists of two bedrooms with double beds and their own en-suite bathrooms, a kitchen with dining table and lounge with private patio. Ideal for families, writers looking for peaceful inspiration, or wine tasting connoisseurs, it provides the ultimate in winelands self catering exclusivity. The room is serviced daily with turndown services as well as on premises laundry facilities.
Tukulu - Luxury Family Self Catering House
Tukulu is our luxury Self Catering House sleeping up to six people. Perfect for a family holiday, boys fishing trip or winelands golf tour, it consists of three bedrooms with double and twin beds, en-suite and stand alone bathrooms, kitchen, dining area, lounge, private patio and braai facilities.

Take the N1 towards Paarl/Stellenbosch. Take the Stellenbosch off ramp (R304), after the N1 Engen Garage. At STOP turn right towards Stellenbosch. Follow the road for approximately 15kms to Stellenbosch. At traffic lights (Stellenbosch Motors Garage would be on your right and Friendly Grocer on the left), turn left onto the R44. At next traffic lights, turn right onto the Helshoogte Road (R310). Follow road, cross over next set of traffic lights (Idas Valley left and Shopping Centre on right) – you are now on the Helshoogte Pass. Continue for +/- 6kms, past Delaire (right) and Tokara (left).
