Nestling within the leafy Paarl conservation area, this 80 year old restored neo-Cape Dutch house provides high quality accommodation for visitors and business people.

We provide bed & breakfast or self-catering, sleeps eight in four double bedrooms with TV and tea/coffee facilities.

There are four double bedrooms, two en-suite, a separate shower/toilet outside two bedrooms. All rooms have TV and the lounge have TV/ DVD and a video player.

There are over 500 books in English and a few in Afrikaans in the Library and a grand piano in another reception room. The large kitchen and breakfast room is equipped with electric oven, hob, microwave, a dishwasher, washing machine, a tumble dryer and large fridge-freezer. We also have an internal braai (BBQ) room, with another portable BBQ set for outside use. This room overlooks the palm-fringed and solar-heated pool. The room also has a double sofa bed with a connecting bathroom with a free standing bath and shower.

There are many wine estates and restaurants within Paarl and a great number of them are highly recommended for its superb cuisine. Car parking is secure behind electronic gate. This elegant and stylish house stands at 367 sq metres (3,950 sq. ft).

Paarl is the venue for a number of annual events such as the Paarl Shiraz Festival, Paarl Cultivaria Festival, the Nederburg Wine Auction and lastly, Pinotage On Tap which is held outside Paarl. The Paarl Wine Route contains many wonderful vineyards to sample the many red and white wines as well as cheeses and olives and enjoy a set dinner when fabulous views emerge.

Laborie, Backsberg, Avondale, Glen Carlou and Fairview are just a few of the wine estates nearby. Most wine estates have cellar tours as well as wine tasting. There are Award winning restaurants in the vicinity, including Bosman's Restaurant at Grande Roche Hotel and Marc's Mediterranean Cuisine. Also within walking distance is Terra Mare and Noop. Various restaurants including Laborie, offer traditional Cape Malay cuisine, Mediterranean or contemporary dishes, lunch or dinner.

We can also arrange for you to visit the vineyards, restaurants and local areas for sight-seeing. A shopping mall is approximately 2.5 km away. The surrounding mountains provide the perfect setting for a calm and peaceful round of golf.

Pearl Valley Signature Golf Estate and Spa (8 km), a residential development among orchards and vineyards, is situated on the outskirts between Paarl and Franschhoek. No handicap is required unless you are entering a competition.

The famous annual Interschool Rugby between Paarl Boy's High and Gymnasium High School attracts over 15,000 spectators nationwide. If you need pampering with some 'well being' beauty therapies, the beauty clinic is a mere three minutes walk away.

Aster Palms is within 200m of the Paarl Information Centre in a secluded street off historic Main Street (on the R45 road going north from the N1). It is close to the Berg River and a short drive away from the Jan Phillips Mountain Road that traverses the Paarl Mountain Nature Reserve. Paarl, 60km from Cape Town and just over 35 minutes drive from Cape Town International airport, is one of the three oldest settlements in South Africa. Culturally diverse, it is a prosperous historic town lying at the centre of Cape Winelands.
