The old world charm of the Historical Knysna guest house can be seen as soon as one sets eyes on the 100-year-old guesthouse. From the original yellowwood floors, to the character of each individual room, the Victorian theme is carried throughout the enchanting Knysna B&B.

Knysna Manor House has a choice of rooms, from single to family.  Each one offering guests affordable and comfortable accommodation. 

Each room has been personally equipped with additional blankets, heaters, fans and tea making facilities, thereby ensuring the comfort of our guests during their stay with us.

The modern en-suite bathrooms have a bath and / or shower and an array of complimentary toiletries. 

All tap water at Knysna Manor House is pre-filtered before entering the guesthouse.

Our Knysna guest house is about an hours drive from the Tsitsikaama forest, making it the ideal base to tour the picturesque Garden Route.

The Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour TM is the first of its kind in Africa. The tour takes place in the magnificent Tsitsikamma Forest with most of the platforms built around giant Outeniqua Yellowwoods up to 700 years old. Standing within the crown of these giants and looking down at the lush forest floor thirty metres below is an unforgettable experience. Hold your breath as you slide from tree to tree through the forest, stopping at each new platform while your guides tell you a little more about the surrounding ecology. If you are fortunate you will spot a pair of Knysna Loeries or the brilliant red plumage of the elusive Narina Trogon. Whatever happens, we’re quite sure you’ll want to do it all over again!

This is the ultimate thrill! This IS the highest commercially operated Bungy Jump in the world. We secure you in a full body harness and proceed to walk along a specially designed catwalk (216m long), which is suspended beneath the road surface, which will then lead you to the top of the arch - 216 meters above the Bloukrans River. Here you will be given final instructions by highly experienced staff, a countdown and off you go! Bloukrans utilizes pendulum bungy technology ensuring you the smoothest, most comfortable bungy jump possible.

Although Knysna does not have any swimming beaches, they are only a 10 minutes car ride away from our Knysna Guest House

Local craft and curio shops in Knysna are a mere two-minute walk from the guesthouse, as are the local pubs and restaurants. Knysna Waterfront boasts many exclusive shops and a variety of restaurants.

Each of our thirteen has been lovingly furnished and fitted with all the comforts of home, including an en-suite bathroom, additional blankets, fans, heaters and complimentary tea / coffee making facilities. Both English and Continental breakfasts are served daily from 07h30.

Directions

From the Main Street (N2) in Knysna CBD If approaching from Plettenberg Bay, at the 5th set of traffic lights turn RIGHT into GRAY Street and FIRST LEFT into FICHAT Street. If approaching from Cape Town, at the second set of traffic Lights turn LEFT into GRAY Street, and FIRST LEFT into FICHAT Street.
