Children can enjoy the foefieslide (zip line) crossing the dam. The raft - taking them accross the water and back. This is relaxed driving, suitable for all ages. The trip to Rus & Vrede is a one day drip and Gamkaskloof is a overnight trip. Also caving, abseiling, hiking and more. C.P. NEL MUSEUM In 1972 the CP Nel collection was brought to its present home - the former Oudtshoorn Boys' High School. As a result of this, the sandstone building, with its beautiful clock tower, was saved from demolition. The building as a whole dates back to the second "ostrich feather boom" (1900 - 1914) and was declared a National Monument in 1981.

DirectionsArriving from R62 in Oudtshoorn:
Follow the main road that you enter Town with. At the third traffic light, turn left into Baron van Reede Street. Follow this road out of town. From the Cango Wildlife Ranch it is about 15km to Oue Werf Country House (Schoemanshoek). You have to turn left at the Cango Ostrich Show Farm. You will be driving towards the Schoemanshoek church. On the right hand side - before the church you will see the Oue Werf sign.
Arriving from the N2 via Mossel Bay:
The two roads connect to one another just before you enter Oudtshoorn. Follow the above directions.
Arriving from the Garden Route via George:
Stay on the main road that you enter the Town with, and follow this road straight through the town. You will pass 3 traffic lights. Follow this road out of town. From the Cango Wildlife Ranch it is about 15km to Oue Werf Country House (Schoemanshoek). You have to turn left at the Cango Ostrich Show Farm. You will be driving towards the Schoemanshoek church. On the right hand side - before the church you will see the Oue Werf sign.Location
