Rosenview Guest House

Description

At Rosenview Guest House on the working wine farm which nestles in the shadow of the Helderberg mountains, guests can bask in the peace and tranquility of the winelands whilst enjoying a traditional farm breakfast served personally by your hosts, Estelle, Sanet & Irene.

With 12 spacious double rooms with en suite bathrooms, including 2 family units (5 persons per unit). Each room is equipped with air-conditioning, coffee making facilities and a courtesy bar in the fridge.

With the swimming pool, picnic and barbeque areas, bird watching gardens with large open lawns and shady trees, Rosenview promises you a relaxing and memorable stay.

We have a 15 + 2 seat 4 ton Mercedes Sprinter bus available with the same layout as a passenger aircraft, with reclining seats and much more legroom than economy class. Each passenger has their own reading light, air conditioner and overhead luggage compartment. For all your transport needs.

The nearest beach is 11 km away, 5 golf courses 10 km, Cape Town only 45 km and the International Airport 30 km (no traffic lights in between).

For the tired and weary businessman, what could be more revitalising than attending a conference in the heart of the Cape Winelands? Rosenview offers a fully equipped conference facility that seats up to 20 delegates, so why not take in the magnificence of your surroundings whilst attending to more serious matters.

At the end of the day, take a stroll along the vineyard trails to the foot of the Helderberg mountain from where you can enjoy the evening silhouette of the Peninsula from Cape Point to Table Mountain. Or gather around the braai fires in good old South African style!

Stellenbosch is the heart of South Africa's wine industry, a place of great beauty and culture. Stellenbosch Wine Route is the first and most famous in the country and includes 150 cellars. Whilst enjoying our great South African wines - you'll taste our South African way of life.

In 1679 Simon van der Stel was the founder of Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa. The oak-lined Dorp Street is somewhere near the heart of the town with its famous historical buildings. The University of Stellenbosch’s modern student life sits comfortably side by side with our history and architectural heritage. A walking map from the Stellenbosch Information Bureau will enable you to experience the many fascinating historic buildings of Stellenbosch.

The University of Stellenbosch has world-class sports facilities. Stellenbosch offers almost every outdoor activity such as: several scenic mountain hiking trails with 360° views of the wine lands and Cape Peninsula, popular mountain bike trails and is surrounded by six truly great golf courses.

As an important cultural centre, Stellenbosch has many galleries and museums housing important national and international art collections and the Stellenbosch Conservatoire is the country's oldest music school.

Strawberry picking at Mooiberge and Polkadraai in spring is one of the high lights on the calender.

Stellenbosch offers various facilities where one can observe wild life. These include Drakenstein Lion Park, Butterfly World, Crocodile farm and interacting with cheetahs and birds of prey at Spier.

The R44 which weaves through the wine lands leads to one of the world’s most scenic coastal routes to Hermanus on the famous whale route.
