AttractionsYou may wish to relax by the sparkling salt water swimming pool, drinking in the champagne air and watching the bird life - Sunbirds feeding on the flame coloured Cape Honeysuckle, the helmeted Guinea Fowl, Egyptian Geese, Hadeda Ibis and many more. Some 60 species have been identified on the farm. Alternatively you may wish to take a picnic into the nearby mountains where you can walk and then relax and cool off on a warm day in one of the crystal clear mountain pools. Kleinfontein is well placed for you to indulge in the scenic splendour and the wine and gourmet delights to be found on the wine routes of Wellington, Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. Stroll through some of these old towns with their wealth of historic buildings, museums, art galleries and quality crafts or take an exclusive archaeological/historical tour and find out more. For the more energetic, golf, seasonal trout fishing, horse riding, mountain walks and more all within easy reach. Alternatively, Cape Town and its many attractions is 50 minutes drive away. Accommodation The exclusive guest accommodation comprises two double/twin bedded luxurious suites, additional beds may be provided for children if required. Each suite has a spacious sitting room and a bedroom with en suite bathroom. One suite has a traditional reed ceiling while the second is under open thatch. Air conditioning and/or ceiling fans ensure a good night's sleep between handmade cotton linen. The suites are delightfully furnished in traditional style creating a lived in elegance, and include tea and coffee making facilities, a well stocked bar fridge and satellite televsion. Breakfast and dinner are served on the verandah overlooking the mountains, meadows and vineyards, weather permitting, and are one of the high points of a stay at Kleinfontein. Haute cuisine farmhouse meals are prepared using seasonal ingredients including organic vegetables, milk, cream and eggs all fresh from the farm and accompanied by Kleinfontein wines.
